Registration is open for the Wenatchee Polar Plunge, a benefit for Special Olympics Washington.
The event will be held at noon on Feb. 21 at Walla Walla Point Park (the entry fee is $60 and donations are accepted).
🎭 Culture
The Community Foundation of NCW awarded $67,400 to 63 nonprofits for arts & music programs that will expand creative access in the area.
The grants come from the Woods Family Music & Arts Grant for 2025.
🎓 Education
Chelan Public Library is staying open as its Reimagining Spaces project is paused after crews uncovered water damage in the nearly 100-year-old building (NCW Libraries is coordinating with city officials).
Female high school seniors at Eastmont, Wenatchee and WestSide can apply for three $1,000 scholarships from P.E.O.
Chapter CC; applications are due April 1.
🏥 Health
The Wenatchee Valley YMCA in partnership with Healthy Aging + Aging and Adult Care of Central Washington is offering a free Matter of Balance fall-prevention class to help older adults improve balance and reduce fall risks.
Registration is available at the YMCA front desk.
