- ➤ On Tuesday, Feb. 3, families gathered at Pybus Public Market to honor missing loved ones while local law enforcement, search and rescue, and behavioral health services offered support, and organizers Denise McBurnie and Penny Scott plan to expand the event in coming years. KPQ
- ➤ WSDOT crews recovered hundreds of family photos from the emergency lane along US 97 Blewett Pass after they were stolen from a storage unit; they used Facebook (the network) to locate a relative for returning the images. KPQ
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ WSDA announced over $3.5 million in food system grants to five local farms, businesses, and non-profits to update equipment, including nearly $62,000 for Cascade Community Markets in Leavenworth. Funding in Cashmere, Orondo, and Manson will boost delivery and storage for local food operations. KPQ
- ➤ U.S. Rep. Dan Newhouse and Sen. Patty Murray secured $10 million in federal funding for Wenatchi Landing, a commercial development project in East Wenatchee. The funding is expected to boost local economic growth as the project moves forward. The Wenatchee World
