- ➤ Wenatchee police are investigating an incident that led to the closure of S Chelan Ave at Kittitas St—officials have not provided a reopening time. KPQ
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ House Democrats approved a $100 million plan to hire more local police — Gov. Ferguson warned he will veto any budget without the funds and the plan requires 25 percent of officers to complete a 40-hour crisis intervention training to secure the money. The bill will become void if the funds are not included in the upcoming budget. KPQ
- ➤ The 2025 Apple Blossom Royal Court visited the Capitol on March 13 as State Senator Keith Goehner hosted their first official tour. The royalty met with lawmakers and shared plans for better special needs education, mental health help, and healthcare — ideas that could guide future actions. KPQ
