- ➤ Residents can take a scenic drive to see five wooden troll sculptures by Thomas Dambo, made from reclaimed wood and featuring birdhouses. The installations are spread across the region, including Seattle, Bainbridge Island, Vashon Island, Issaquah and Ballard. KPQ
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ On Friday, Apr. 17, from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m., a Mario Kart tournament and silent auction is set at Epoch downtown to support local schools and the proposed bond measure, organized by (Yes for Wenatchee Schools). Drop-ins can join without RSVP for an evening of play and community support. KPQ
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ DOT crews will begin clearing snow from North Cascades Hwy on Monday, March 23 to reduce avalanche risks along the 37-mile route from Ross Dam Trailhead to Silver Star. The roadway is expected to fully reopen by late April once additional seasonal repairs are completed. KPQ
