  • At around 2:50 p.m. today, a power pole caught fire near the Liberty Theater in downtown Wenatchee, leaving over 400 Chelan PUD customers without power along Chelan Avenue and disrupting traffic signals — crews expect to restore service before 6 p.m.  KPQ

  • Wenatchee Valley Fire Department (WVFD) will choose a new chief next week as Chief Brian Brett retires in December.
