Here's your local news at a glance for Thursday, the 24th of April.
Good morning, Wenatchee.
A $600,000 pledge has advanced the WSU Wenatchee Tree Fruit Research and Extension Center's plan for a new plant growth facility (bringing the project closer to construction).
Voters in Cascade Medical Center Public Hospital District passed the six-year EMS levy with over 77% approval, which means property owners of a $500,000 home will pay about $250 a year.
The levy funds will support emergency and ambulance operations over a 1,200-square-mile area — covering Leavenworth, Lake Wenatchee, Plain, Dryden and Peshastin — to help maintain round-the-clock care.
