On Saturday, May 3rd, thousands watched the Wenatchee Apple Blossom Festival Grand Parade where winners for floats, equestrian groups and specialty units were announced.
Manson Apple Blossom Festival received the Grand Sweepstakes Award + awards were given to Miss Sunnyside Court float, Deer Park, Washington State Event Center, Jefferson County Rhododeron Festival and Capital Lakefair, with top equestrian and specialty units also recognized.
🎓 Education
The Cascade School District was named as the only Washington Green Ribbon School District for 2025 — a recognition confirmed by a release.
🏛️ Government
Candidate filing for local offices in Chelan and Douglas counties is underway as filings run from May 5 at 8am to 5pm on May 9—races include school board positions, city council seats, and local district roles with a primary set for August 5.
