- ➤ East Wenatchee City Councilmember Robert Tidd resigned Tuesday night after his arrest on suspicion of fourth-degree assault—domestic violence, a gross misdemeanor—in an incident with his younger brother on May 1 at the 400 block of 19th Street Northeast and he is set to appear in court at 9 a.m. on May 14. - ➤ Candidate filings for local offices in Chelan and Douglas Counties continue as the period remains open until Friday, May 9 at 5 p.m.—local contests include the Wenatchee School Board Director seat with David Elwood filing after Martin Barron announced he will not run again and the Wenatchee City Council District 2 race with Doug Miller entering while the incumbent has not filed.
