GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Wenatchee Valley Fire Department trained in 2023 to fight electric vehicle battery fires and uses ongoing drills with LINK Transit and guidance from the State Fire Marshal—firefighters have not yet faced a full EV fire. Deputy Chief Andy Davidson said the training covers methods to handle extreme heat, large water volumes, toxic gases, and the risk of re-ignition. KPQ
