- ➤ Wildfire Awareness Month has led the Bureau of Land Management to post fire restrictions on public lands in Washington & Oregon beginning May 15, which ban fireworks, exploding targets, metallic targets, steel component ammunition, tracer devices, and sky lanterns until the order is lifted this fall. Eastern Washington remains without restrictions while closures will be applied to active fires and areas that remain risky after past burns. KPQ
