Crews battled a six-acre brush fire near 3rd Street along the river in East Wenatchee on Sunday evening at 7:40 p.m. and contained the blaze in two hours with mutual aid while investigators began reviewing its human-caused origins.

Wenatchee Valley Fire Chief Brian Brett said a fire burned 6 acres on the riverside slope below Loop Trail near Highway 28 at 7:36 p.m. and appears to have been human-caused.
