- ➤ On June 4th, fire crews contained a brush fire near the Palisades way station south of Rock Island Dam by boxing it in along a road and using a helicopter—no injuries or damage occurred while mop-up operations ended later as crews braced for forecast high temperatures and gusty winds this weekend.
