- ➤ Chelan County Public Utility District commissioners approved a contract on June 16 to supply power to Microsoft’s data center campus in Malaga—Microsoft will begin commissioning the new facility in August and the utility will provide up to 18 megawatts until the end of 2025. Commissioners also approved a lease with Helion One for 80 acres on Rock Island Dam property in Malaga—this lease covers land improvements, water rights and decommissioning responsibilities with full site development pending approval. - ➤ Janette Townsend is Confluence Health's new chief financial officer—replacing Tom Legel after his retirement on July 1—as announced Tuesday. The Wenatchee World
- ➤ Commissioners approved a contract on Monday for Chelan PUD to supply clean power for Microsoft’s data center in Malaga, covering a 15-year period with an option for five-year extensions+Microsoft paid $86.5 million upfront to build a new substation and other improvements needed for the project.
