Central Washington Asphalt was fined $49,000 after 70 gallons of hot asphalt spilled near Peshastin Creek in July 2023 — 35 gallons fell into the creek and cleanup was delayed, putting endangered species at risk.
The company has 30 days to appeal the penalty.
