- ➤ Since 1971, Mobile Meals has fed homebound Wenatchee residents using dedicated volunteers who bring both nutritious meals and a friendly visit. The nonprofit partners with Confluence Health Hospital — which prepares the meals and offers office space — and will hold its annual fundraiser on July 13th at Columbia Grove Covenant Church. KPQ

- ➤ Pete Ezetta, owner of EZ's Burger DeLuxe — celebrating its upcoming 33rd anniversary on July 15th — said a planned transportation project will remove his driveway entrance and key parking spaces, which he fears will hurt his business. He suggested moving the planned u-turn lane one block north and urged local supporters to attend the City Council public hearing to share their concerns. KPQ

- ➤ On Thursday, Wenatchee City Council adopted a new code to create the Wenatchee Junior City Council— a nine-member board of students designed to give young residents a voice in local government. The board will work to boost civic input in city decisions in the coming months. The Wenatchee World
- ➤ The Chelan County jail installed 44 new medical sensors in single-occupancy cells to bring its total to 68, which track inmates' heart rates and breathing to help staff respond quickly to emergencies. The $359,400 project was funded with opioid settlement money and a state risk pool grant — funding that also earned the facility a national innovation award. KPQ
- ➤ Wenatchee City Council approved a six-year transportation improvement program with rolling projects through 2032—one such project is the Confluence Parkway project. The Wenatchee World
