The Northwest Fam Car and Truck Club is hosting The Dam Car Show at Rocky Reach Dam on Saturday, Aug.
1 with vehicles judged from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM (42 trophies will be awarded) and family fun until 3:00 PM; proceeds support local schools.
Residents affected by the Chelan Hills Fire can join a town hall to speak with recovery experts at 5 p.m. next Tuesday, July 21, at Lake Chelan Community Center; Douglas County organizes the event to provide help and answers.

Lightning from thunderstorms ignited eight fires in the Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest last Wednesday.
The largest, Three Queens Fire, burned about 25 acres near Little Lake Kachess while fire crews using rappelers and smokejumpers tackled smaller blazes—no roads or trails were closed.
