CVCH is hosting its annual Back-to-School Health Fair on Saturday, Aug.
8 from 8 to 11 a.m. at (980 Eastmont Ave, East Wenatchee) where students in grades K-12 can pick up 1,200 free backpacks, supplies, and haircut coupons on a first-come, first-served basis.
Wookie, a 3-year-old Siberian Husky with a long coat and a love for hiking and puzzle toys, is available for adoption at Wenatchee Humane Society Shelter (1474 South Wenatchee Avenue, open daily 12:30 pm to 6:00 pm).
He seeks a family ready to match his active and adventurous spirit.
🎭 Culture
The Aces Wild Lake Chelan Pro Rodeo took place July 17 and 18 in Chelan and featured the World Famous Chicken Race, an adult relay plus vendors and a live band.
The event brought locals together to enjoy a unique tradition.

The Lookout Natural Area fundraising campaign is nearly reaching its goal as local supporters back the conservation effort.
Organizers said the campaign will continue soon to help restore this cherished local site.
