- ➤ Chelan County has paused creating new tax increment financing districts in unincorporated areas for six months due to a proposed TIF on more than 3,300 acres in Malaga that could reduce county revenue by an estimated $50 million over 25 years—commissioners said they need time to review its impact on essential services. The Chelan-Douglas Regional Port Authority disputes the decision and will keep reviewing its plan, which may move forward in December. KPQ
