- ➤ On Wednesday night a small plane went off the end of the runway at Cashmere Airport — it crashed into a nearby house and injured 2 onboard. The Wenatchee World
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ East Wenatchee City Council is considering a 0.1% sales tax increase to help cover rising public safety costs such as the police department, public defenders, and jail bed space expenses. The council will vote later this month and the extra tax is expected to bring in about $550,000 a year — a move aimed at easing the strain on the city's funds. KPQ
