- ➤ Federal aviation investigators said a Cessna pilot may have been attempting a landing when the small plane crashed into a home near the Cashmere airport on Wednesday. The Wenatchee World

- ➤ The Woods Family Music & Arts Fund Grant is open for applications to support music and arts programs in North Central Washington; eligible organizations include nonprofits, government entities, schools, and religious groups in Chelan, Douglas, and Okanogan counties (organizations without nonprofit status must have a fiscal sponsor). GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Voters in Chelan and Douglas County face tough decisions in the August Primary Special Election—options include a Wenatchee sales tax increase for road repairs, a fire district levy lift in Monitor, a bond for Lake Wenatchee Fire & Rescue modernization, and a measure to add fire commissioners in Manson. Ballots must be postmarked by August 5 and can be dropped off at designated locations. KPQ

- ➤ Three Rivers Hospital in Brewster — and Confluence Health-Central Washington Hospital in Wenatchee were recognized by the American Heart Association for quality improvement efforts in heart disease and stroke care. The Wenatchee World
