  • Tsillan Cellars in Chelan appointed Kevin McFadden as its new general manager after Bob Hargadon retired—he will now manage wine production, estate vineyards and tasting rooms to continue the winery’s longstanding success.  Wenatchee Business Journal
  • Today the Washington Utilities and Transportation Commission approved the transfer of Ziply Fiber Northwest, LLC—owner of LocalTel in East Wenatchee—from Northwest Fiber Holdco, LLC to Bell Canada's BCE Holding Corporation. Ziply Fiber will retain its name and services for one year—while investing at least $80 million in fiber upgrades by 2030.  Wenatchee Business Journal

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Wenatchee School Board will hold a public hearing on August 12 to gather community input on the proposed 2025-26 budget, its four-year financial plan, and changes to enrichment funding—meeting at 6 p.m. at the School District Office at 235 Sunset Avenue; a second meeting on August 26 will include a formal vote.  KPQ
