- ➤ The Chelan and Douglas County veteran services offices held a Purple Heart Ceremony Thursday afternoon at Wenatchee Valley Veterans Hall to honor 14 local Purple Heart recipients (the event recognized those who served bravely in combat). The Wenatchee World

- ➤ A $20K state-funded grant is giving farmworkers in Chelan County safety gear and energy aid. The grant is led by CAFÉ + Chelan County PUD. The Wenatchee World
- ➤ Wenatchee Mayor Mike Poirier tapped the police chief to serve as interim city administrator—as the city now begins its search for a permanent replacement. The Wenatchee World
- ➤ Chelan County held its first Blake Relief Day on July 18 to clear 28 drug possession convictions following a state ruling that allowed past convictions to be vacated; 25 pre-scheduled sign-ups plus 15 walk-ins helped remove 11 Wenatchee cases, 15 Superior Court cases, one district court case and one juvenile case.
