🚧 Accidents
On Saturday night, flames appeared on the roof of Take A Break Cafe in Dryden and were quickly extinguished by Chelan County Fire District crews (no one was injured), with the cafe reopening at its regular hours the next morning.
🌲 Environment
Over the weekend, the Little Giant Fire burned over 111,000 acres with smoke reaching 20,000 feet in Chelan County as crews protected homes along Entiat River Road and dropped water on a 500+ acre spot fire near Lake Chelan; expanded evacuation notices and structure protection teams remain on scene.
🏈 Sports
The Wenatchee AppleSox beat Kelowna 8-3 Saturday night at Paul Thomas Sr. Stadium to clinch the series and extend their winning streak to nine games; they will host Tuesday's North Division Championship at 6:35 p.m. in Wenatchee.
