The Little Giant Fire has grown by 11,000 acres in the Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest and now covers 122,401 acres with 2% containment.
Fire crews continue battling the blaze while water drops on Lake Wenatchee paused due to interference.
Fire crews quickly ended a brushfire that blackened five acres near the eastern shores of the Columbia River on Monday night near U.S. Highways 2 & 97 and Northwest Cascade Avenue—no homes were damaged.

On Saturday, Aug. 8, CVCH moved its back-to-school health fair indoors to the Convention Center after wildfire smoke reduced air quality.
