- ➤ Prince Trillium is a nearly 2-year-old longhaired tuxedo cat with a soft black and white coat who is looking for a dog-free home where he can get plenty of cuddles. He eats only wet food to help with his missing teeth and can be met for adoption at Wenatchee Valley Humane Society at 1474 S. Wenatchee Ave — the shelter is open daily from 12:30pm to 5:30pm. KPQ

GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ East Wenatchee's City Council will vote at 6 p.m. today on a 0.1% public safety sales tax that would raise the rate from 8.6% to 8.7% and generate about $550,000 each year to cover rising costs for police, jail contracts, and public defense. The proposal may also secure a state grant of $125,000 for hiring new officers — with the extra tax estimated to add about $25 per household annually. KPQ
