The Lower Sugarloaf Fire, sparked by a lightning strike on Aug.
31, has burned 10,000 acres in the Wenatchee River Ranger District and is still 0% contained; firefighters worked on burnout operations and structure protection on several fronts — they will add more aircraft as rain is expected on Tuesday to help reach containment.
