  • Kion, a 2-year-old tabby at Wenatchee Valley Humane Society, uses his friendly head nudges to charm visitors as he waits for a forever home at 1474 S. Wenatchee Ave+ the shelter welcomes visits daily from 12:30pm to 5:30pm+ and offers appointments on Wednesdays.  KPQ
  • Ingalls Creek Enrichment Center will host an open house on Sunday, Sept. 14 from 1-4 p.m. — the event will let local residents see its programs in person.  The Wenatchee World

ACCIDENTS NEWS

  • Firefighters are battling the Labor Mountain Fire—spanning 1,984 acres in the Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest north of Cle Elum—to protect homes and structures in the Teanaway area. Crews are building containment lines along the southern edge and additional personnel will join later today.  KPQ

ENVIRONMENT NEWS

  • Mission Ridge Ski & Board Resort released its long-awaited expansion impact study and opened a public comment period on Monday after Chelan County issued its draft environmental impact statement on the project. The resort said it will consider public feedback as it plans the expansion.  The Wenatchee World
