- ➤ Rootwood Cider Company blends a century of apple farming with modern craft cider production from its family orchard in Manson. The Koenig sisters started the cidery in 2015 — using cider-only apples — and will expand local distribution to serve Wenatchee while honoring their heritage. Wenatchee Business Journal

- ➤ Tsillan Cellars in the Lake Chelan watershed uses smart sensors and old farming methods to save water and keep vines healthy. - ➤ Volunteers from Cascade Medical Foundation help river users with questions on floating, safety, and local dining as part of the Leavenworth Chamber of Commerce’s Recreation Ambassador Program that collected more than 130 bags of trash last summer.
