- ➤ Pangborn Memorial Airport will open its runway for a free Cleared for Takeoff: Runway Run and Ride event + letting residents walk, run or ride bikes before normal airport activities resume, and the event will offer a safe chance for families to enjoy the space + air before planes return. ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ Firefighters increased containment on the Lower Sugarloaf Fire to 38 percent on Sunday as they worked to protect structures 12 miles northeast of Leavenworth and evacuations continue in Chelan County — officials hope cooler temperatures will slow the blaze. KPQ
- ➤ Chelan County Emergency Management downgraded evacuation orders for Nahahum Canyon and parts of Entiat River Road near the Lower Sugarloaf Fire as it burned within five miles north of Cashmere. LEVEL 3 orders remain in place for the Labor Mountain Fire in areas including Ingalls Creek and Valley Hi—residents should stay alert for further updates. KPQ
