The Labor Mountain Fire in the Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest remains active for 44 consecutive days at 30% containment despite snowfall, having started Sept.
1 about 13 miles northwest of Cle Elum and burned roughly 42,809 acres. Fire crews continue working to secure fire lines and perform water drops—rain, snow, ice, and mud keep many roads unsafe for access.
