Operation Christmas Child—run by Samaritan’s Purse—began Monday and gave Washington residents a chance to pack shoebox gifts with toys and school supplies for children in need.

Louie and Milo are a bonded pair of domestic shorthair cats, aged 2 and 4, waiting for a forever home at the Wenatchee Valley Humane Society Adoption Shelter.

They are available for adoption Thursday through Tuesday from 12:30 PM to 5:30 PM (shelter closed on Wednesdays) and must be adopted together.

Chelan County PUD Fish & Wildlife will count salmon and trout redds next year as state funding for workers to search for nests ends this year.
