- ➤ Operation Christmas Child—run by Samaritan’s Purse—began Monday and gave Washington residents a chance to pack shoebox gifts with toys and school supplies for children in need. The Wenatchee World
- ➤ Louie and Milo are a bonded pair of domestic shorthair cats, aged 2 and 4, waiting for a forever home at the Wenatchee Valley Humane Society Adoption Shelter. They are available for adoption Thursday through Tuesday from 12:30 PM to 5:30 PM (shelter closed on Wednesdays) and must be adopted together. KPQ

- ➤ Chelan County PUD Fish & Wildlife will count salmon and trout redds next year as state funding for workers to search for nests ends this year. The agency will take on the task to monitor fish spawning habitats closely in local waters. The Wenatchee World
