- ➤ Give NCW marked its 10th anniversary with its annual online giving campaign — a Turkey Trot that raised $37,000 for local nonprofits on Thanksgiving morning. The Wenatchee World
- ➤ After days of outages and flooding, most power is restored in the Leavenworth area—crews continue cleanup while local officials urge residents to stay cautious as recovery efforts progress into the weekend. The Wenatchee World
ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ After the Stehekin River flooded, residents in the Lake Chelan area were evacuated and the water treatment plant was destroyed, while a landslide washed out the sole access road (a fuel truck toppled by the mud added to the challenges). Officials said recovery will depend on federal funding. KPQ
- ➤ Washington is expecting an atmospheric river Monday that could renew flood threats as already swollen rivers rise quickly. NOAA’s forecast shows rain tapering off Tuesday before returning on Wednesday, which may complicate ongoing cleanup efforts. KPQ

- ➤ Chelan PUD shut down wastewater service along Cedar Brae Road in Lake Wenatchee after detecting a break in a Nason pipe. The emergency measure affected about 100 residents Friday evening. The Wenatchee World
