15. The prize was one of three top wins from over 1.8 million tickets & may boost retailer commissions.

Dr. Sue Kane of East Wenatchee was appointed to the Washington State Board of Education by Gov. Bob Ferguson (term began Dec.
8) and will serve until January 2029; she is set to be sworn in on Feb. 11 and will bring her STEM expertise to guide education.

Officials in Chelan County removed trash under the Dryden Bridge on Dec.
11 to fix public safety and environmental hazards near the Wenatchee River — local citizens reported the buildup before rising waters from last week’s storm. Cleanup crews took about two hours to clear the site.
