🎓 Education
Wenatchee Valley College announced its summer quarter President’s and Dean’s Lists.
Forty students earned a 4.0 GPA for the President's List while 47 achieved at least a 3.5 GPA on the Dean's List, recognizing nearly 90 students for academic excellence across the region.
East Wenatchee STEM leader Dr. Sue Kane and educator Sharon Conditt were appointed to the State Board of Education and will be sworn in on Feb.
11; they will serve until January 2029 and guide STEM + civics efforts statewide.

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission issued a recall for about 9,000 YCXXJ Baby Bath Seats sold on Amazon due to a tipping hazard and drowning risk—Washington families should stop using them and call BenTalk at 213-579-2588 for a refund.
Local nonprofits Our Valley Our Future and Thriving Together NCW hosted a mental health symposium last Thursday at Wenatchee Valley College Maguire Center to address growing needs in Chelan and Douglas counties.
